Visiting Churches can be hard…but doesn’t have to be.
Where do I go? What do I do with my kids? What will the music and teaching be like? What’s the easiest way to meet people?
If you are visiting CBC for the first time. We hope this page will answer these questions and more…
Where you go when you arrive depends on the time you get here. We have what you call “Sunday School Assembly” at 9:45 AM in the Sanctuary, which can easily be accessed by the front door next to the road or the side door across from the fellowship hall. It is a time where everyone can catch up with one another before before Sunday School and prepare our hearts for what the Lord has for us in Sunday School. Then at 10, it is off to our small groups which we call “Sunday School.” The locations and details of all our Sunday School classes are provided on our Sunday School page. After Sunday School, we begin our worship service at 11.
We honestly believe Sunday School is the best way to meet people at our church. It is not just a time to learn about scripture, but to learn about each other. It is a chance to share life with one another.
All children have a designated Sunday School classes based on age through high school. Babies and infants can be taken to the nursery which is located on the second floor, next to the sanctuary (Room 200). The nursery is also available during the worship service as well. Also about half-way through the worship service, we have a program called “children’s church” where kids have the option to participate in their own private lesson. Children are not required to join children’s church, but it is available to them.
Our worship services are reverent yet relaxed, traditional yet tasteful. Feel free to dress however you would like while maintaining modesty. You may see suits and dresses, but you may also see flip-flops and tank-tops.
Our musical selections will be a combination of new and old hymns, but every once and a while our choir will perform more contemporary pieces. We truly desire to focus more on the message and the heart we are praising God with, rather than the tune.
At CBC we believing in growing with truth and love in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:14-15) Therefore, our teaching is done utilizing the Bible, which is God’s word of truth and the best way to learn how to love God and man. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) Typically, the preaching is expositional, book-by-book, and line-by-line. However, there are times when the teaching is topical depending on the season or current events.
